Our Market

There is an alarming gap in the market right now when it comes to technological devices for children. One might say, “Why do kids need phones at all?” While this is a good point, the matter of fact is that kids are getting phones at younger and younger ages and these devices are becoming neccessary for kids to socialize with their peers. Pew Research Center says, “71% of parents of a child under the age of 12 say they are at least somewhat concerned their child might ever spend too much time in front of screens”(1). But what is the phone market like for kids between the ages of 5-12? Right now there are two options. 1. There are companies selling phones with basic SMS/voice/GPS functionality like Gabb, but we think that these alternatives are very unimaginative, and 2. there are the big guys, selling androids and iPhones. We believe that there exists a gap in the market between these two stages that include parents who want to have basic contact with their children and would like their children to be able to adequately socialize with other children without opening the floodgates to the unfiltered web access that comes along with using a full-fledged smartphone.

Our Vision

We propose TinyWeb a blockchain-based, decentralized, network that runs privately and securely on devices within parents' households. The devices are low-powered computers such as raspberry pi that are paired with custom Tiny Web Phone devices for children and corresponding apps for parents’ phones. The TinyWeb Phones are medium-grade android phones with our custom android OS loaded onto them to enable connection only to the TinyWeb. Each “Tiny Phone” will need a data-only sim card available with most carriers. When away from home they can use cellular data, or wifi. We will be purchasing phones, and devices, loading my software onto them, rebranding them, and selling them in packaged deals.

What's in it for you?

TinyWeb's market is massive and includes, but is not limited to, families with small children, small communities organizations such as churches, and even organizations that value privacy. The large size of TinyWeb's market in conjunction with our superb engineering team has produced a quality network with endless use cases. This network drives profit not only from hardware sales but from subscription models as well. Noone else providing products or services to our market is adequately catering to the current problems with technology and media. With this type of software and hardware, support will be minimal. Every network is self-managing, self-expanding, and self-sufficient. TinyWeb's CEO William Floyd has background in electrical Engineering, Cyber Security, and Software Sales. Floyd's expertise in these fields places our team in the perfect position to develop and offer a product like this. We at TinyWeb would love to be able to work with you on this exciting opportunity. William Floyd

Founder & CEO

My name is William Floyd and I am the founder and CEO of Tiny Web and I am coming to you with the solution to the technologically enabled moral degradation of today’s society. I have quite a large family to say the least. I am the 7th of 8 children and I have 25 nieces and nephews which means that I have seen a lot of kids grow up and with this, I have seen an alarming shift in the lives of children in the last 10 years. I believe this shift is generally for the worse and needs to be corrected. I want to not only help my family but yours too and I believe I am the perfect person to do it. I started my adult life earning an electrical engineering degree at UCI and have spent the last 3 years leading the design and implementation of the technology stack for a multi-million dollar cybersecurity startup. Now I feel the need to turn my attention to the greater problem at hand. When I am not saving the world, I enjoy going for runs with my Australian shepherd, playing online chess, and finding new ramen recipes. Join me in my fight for our youth’s future and subscribe to our newsletter!
